Abstract

The work of achieving the interpretation of the "green garden of the people of love and purity" of Sheikh Hafiz Muhammad Ahsan al-Bashawari, known as "Hafez Daraz" (1202-1263 AH / 1787 - 1846) leads to study the strong link of scientists of the Indian subcontinent to the Holy Quran and its sciences and their deep absorption and taste. This study highlights the contribution of Indian sub-continent scholars to the development of religious literature on interpretation, event, jurisprudence and speech. The interpretations that were written in the Arabic language are the "metaphysical interpretation" of Sheikh Qazi Thanaullah Bany Bati who died in 1225 AH, and the "opening statement" of Sheikh Nawab Siddiq Hasan Khan, who died in 1302 AH and "Interpretation of the Quran in the words of the Merciful". The realization of this manuscript stems from my conviction that the ancient Islamic scientific heritage must be revived rather than neglected, so that the emerging generation will be informed of the efforts of its scientists and recognize its glorious scientific past. The achievement of this rare manuscript to highlight the author's efforts in the field of Quranic literary interpretation is one of the most important models of Arabic religious literature in the Indian subcontinent before researchers and scholars. This modest attempt is only a link in the series of efforts exerted by many researchers and researchers to revive the Arab Islamic heritage of this region. Thus, the achievement of this manuscript was presented to the PhD in Arabic Language and Literature (Religious Literature) 1993-1996. The author was born in the city of Khushab (Punjab, Pakistan) in 1202 AH. He then went to Peshawar (Khyber province of Pakhtunistan, Pakistan) and settled there until he died in 1263 AH and was buried in Peshawar. The Sheikh belonged to the house of Ezz and honor and a family of honor and knowledge. He worked diligently in the service of Islamic religion in the fields of teaching, writing, advocacy and guidance throughout his life, until his house and mosque became a house of knowledge and knowledge where students were coming from the outskirts of the "Khyber region of Pakhtunistan - currently" to benefit from his knowledge.
