Abstract

Baba Guru Nanak is a renowned social reformist, founder of Sikhism, a great poet, and philosopher of 21st century. His teachings carried the message of universal brotherhood and social revolution. His philosophy is approaching the problems realistically and auspiciously. His message focuses on equality, altruism, interfaith harmony, multiculturalism, interdependence, fraternity and virtu for human character in society.   He believes in a strong character for human life which can lead society towards peace and harmony His supposed character required to be sachiara (truthful being). The journey of sachira is a journey of self - realization which cannot be attained without the love of God. Three leading points of his teaching: Kirat Karo (honest living) Naam Japo (devotion to God) and Vand chako (sharing with others) these cardinal rules can be beneficial for all categories of population in order to provide them dignity and grace full life.
