Abstract

Sofis played an immense and important role in the history of Indian Subcontinent.. Today’s historian wonders how Muslims having a small number in Subcontinent impress the people of the World with high character, philanthropy and godly teaching. Sufism has increasingly contributed to the formation of higher society based on highest values.Collective interest of regardless of religion and remained dominant rulers if we consider we can see role and practice of these Sufis behind mystery who gave an intellectual unity to the scattered region and promoted to big values of humanity and social friendless.  The Sufis devised various styles and methods for attaining nearness to God   and for self purification but there are methods which became very popular in Arabs and A jams. A series of methods emerged that became important pillar of Islam.The first chishtiya which is attributed Hazrat Khawja Muinuddin,the second  Hazrat Sheikh Abul Najeeb suherwardy  which is attributed to Hazrat Sheikh Shahabudddin suherwardy ,the third series which became  known as Qadriya series Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jelani and fourth one  attributed to Hazrat Bahauddin  Zakariya Sufis of all walks of life have rendered invaluable services to reformation of society. However this article will examine the views of Sufi Shahfakaruddin Dehlvi of Chishty dynasty and, Sufi Shah Waliullah of Naqashbandi dynasty.  A research and comparative analysis of the views of Shah Waliullah Dehlvi (1176H) and Shahfakhruddin Dehlvi (1199H) about  Ijthad and imitation of imams ,scholars and connection between Hazrat Hassan  and Hazrat Ali will be present in this article.
